Supplies for Animal Rescue League are delivered as students learn about animal neglect and abuse.

J'Ceon - "The group worked really hard to get all this food, and we ended up with a total of 466 items."

Haley - "It took us awhile to get all the supplies, but once we went around the school to tell the other classes, it was a big success."

Im So Happy,We Didnt Think We Would Gather All Of These Donations,It Took Us 3 Days For People To Donate. I Was Happy To Go To The Animal Resscue League And Met Mr(Cat) Rango(dog)People Who Donated We Are Pround And Thanks You. We Are Glad The 5th Grade Teachers For Make The Exibition Up So If Your Proud Be Proud For The 5th Grade Teachers (Ms.Brunk,Ms.Bentley,Mrs.Beamount!!:)

Well actually we collocted a box and a half of newspaper (around 400 newspapers) and 69 items. I also have to say that this was very fun! And I'm happy we (Hubbell) were the first ones to do it! -Trinity

What is the PYP Exhibition?

The 5th grade students at Hubbell Elementary have been exploring local issues with global significance as part of the IB Primary Years Program Exhibition. Through research, interviews, and field experiences, students have developed new understandings and have taken action to impact those issues. The issues explored include child abuse, child poverty, pollution, education, drug abuse, smoking, cancer, childhood obesity, endangered animals, animal abuse, and animal neglect. The exploration of these issues has led to student-initiated actions including taking gifts to cancer patients at Blank Children’s Hospital, trash collection around Hubbell and Roosevelt High School, petitions for environmental and educational concerns, supplies for the Animal Rescue League, facilitation of a sports clinic, emails to the state legislature, posters, bookmarks, websites, and many more.
